Jean Monnet Network on enforcement of EU law (EULEN)

Mission

EULEN’s ambition is to bring academics and practitioners together, to address the challenges for EU law enforcement in a world without territorial borders. Beneficiaries include bachelor and master level students, PhD students, academics, officials from national and EU institutions, organisations and agencies, practitioners, professionals working in NGOs and societies at large.

EULEN was a network funded by the EC’s Jean Monnet program in the period 2019-2023. The formal phase of the project is now closed. However, the network continues to cooperate and bring together practitioners and academics, as demonstrated by a conference organized by EULEN on 19-20 September 2024 in London.

Therefore, EULEN’s mission continues through the maintenance and further development of:

  1. The infrastructure for a lasting international, cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary research cooperation.
  2. An enforcement hub that has integrated stakeholders in its design and (future) agenda.
  3. International classrooms and teaching curricula.
  4. An independent consortium of experts that  informs societies on the enforcement challenges ahead and their pertinence to achieving societal objectives in Europe and beyond.
